The honest answer is one most witches will not give you: a reconciliation spell rarely works overnight, and it does not work the way the internet says it should. If someone has promised you a 48-hour return, that they will come crawling back by Sunday, please be careful. Real magic does not operate on the same clock as next-day delivery.
I have been casting reconciliation rituals for several years, working with clients across more than a thousand cases. What I want to share here is not a fairytale. It is the real arc of how a reconciliation spell unfolds: what to expect at each stage, why some people see results in days and others in weeks, and the one mistake that delays results more than anything else.
The real reconciliation spell timeline
Most clients fall into one of three windows. These are not promises. They are patterns I have watched repeat over hundreds of castings.
Days 1 to 7: the energetic opening
The first week is quiet. Almost too quiet. The spell has been cast, but on the outside very little appears to change. Internally, something is shifting, and not for them yet, for you. You may feel a sudden calm you were not expecting, a small lift, like a tight band loosening around your chest. Some clients finally sleep through the night for the first time in weeks. This is the foundation. The energetic field around the situation is being repaired before anything visible happens on their side.
Days 7 to 21: first signs
This is when the early signals usually appear, subtle and often missable if you do not know what to look for.
✦ A mutual friend brings them up out of nowhere.
✦ A dream, yours or theirs, where they appear softer, closer, more open.
✦ A song from your time together suddenly returning to your life.
✦ Their social activity changes in a small but specific way, or an unexpected late-night notification.
Some clients get a direct message during this window. Most do not. That is normal. The work is real even when it is quiet.
Days 21 to 49: the visible shift
By weeks three through six, most reconciliations begin to surface in a tangible way. This is when the message arrives. The “I was thinking about you.” The unexpected text. The pulled-back partner who suddenly wants to talk. For about 60% of my clients, this is the window where reconnection happens. For the other 40%, it takes longer, and that is not a failure. It just means more layers needed unwinding first.
Why timelines vary so much
1. How long the disconnection has lasted
If the separation is recent, under three months, the energetic threads between you are still warm and reconciliation usually moves faster. If it has been a year or more, the threads need to be re-spun, and that takes time.
2. Whether either party has met someone new
This does not make reconciliation impossible. It means the spell has to clear additional interference first. Add roughly two weeks to your timeline if this is the case.
3. Your own emotional state during the work
This is the big one. The spell is amplified by your energy whether you realise it or not. If you are spiralling in anxiety, checking their socials twelve times a day, drafting texts you do not send, you are disrupting the very field the casting is building.

After the casting, your job is to soften, not to chase. The clients who see the fastest results are the ones who cast, and then truly step back. They live their lives and give the work room to breathe.
4. The strength and personalisation of the casting itself
Generic spells from generic shops work generically. A casting that includes your name, theirs, your situation, and the specific blockage at play is the work that lands. This is why I personalise every ritual.
What working actually looks like
Most people watch for the wrong signs: the text, the call, the grand gesture. The real signs your reconciliation spell is working tend to be quieter than that.
✦ You feel calm where you used to feel panic.
✦ You stop replaying the same memory, and you sleep and breathe deeper.
✦ Small synchronicities appear: songs, numbers, names.
✦ Your dreams shift in tone, from anxious to soft.
When these signs start showing up, the spell is working. The visible result usually follows within 2 to 4 weeks.
The one mistake that delays results
Checking. Too often, too closely, with too much fear. Every time you reload their Instagram, every time you stare at your phone willing it to light up, every time you draft a text and do not send it, you are broadcasting need into the energetic field. Need pushes love away. It always has. I know how hard it is to stop. But that is the work.
I will not tell you exactly when they will come back. No honest witch can. What I can tell you is that the people who get the results they want are the ones who trust the process, do the inner work, and let the magic move at its own pace.
If it is taking longer than expected
If you are past the 49-day mark and still waiting, usually one of three things is true. There is a deeper block, sometimes a third party, sometimes pride, sometimes an unhealed wound. The timing is not aligned yet on their end. Or a reinforcement ritual is needed, because magic builds rather than resets, and a second casting amplifies the first rather than starting over. If you are in that 40% who needs more time, that is not the spell failing. That is the spell doing more work than the average case requires.
